Skowhegan’s 2027 Program

Each year, a group of about sixty emerging artists from around the world and ten resident and visiting faculty artists engage in an experimental framework of learning that promotes the sharing of knowledge and skills between artists.

The School runs for nine weeks from early June to early August. Every participant must commit to being on campus for the full nine-week session.

Applicants are asked to submit:Ten images or up to six min of video/audio workBrief explanations of the works to provide contextA short video narrative describing their interests as artistsThey do not require a CV, recommendation letters, or a specific project proposal.
