Artlogic is what galleries use: an inventory of artworks, sales through offers and invoices, private views for collectors, mailings, and a website as one of the modules. Artists get their own plans. ArtFond is an artist's site plus the documents an artist has to produce anyway. Neither is a website builder, which is exactly why the two get compared. Below are the facts, prices as of the day we checked them, and an honest word on who actually needs Artlogic.

Who actually needs Artlogic
- You run a studio with a team. An assistant keeps the inventory, a manager makes offers to collectors, you paint. Artlogic is built for that division of roles; ArtFond is for an artist who runs the practice alone.
- You sell through galleries and dealers. Offers with a history, a deal pipeline, sales reports: that's a dealer's desk, and Artlogic has it.
- You have hundreds of artworks in circulation, and a private viewing is the start of a deal. In Artlogic, a private view is tied to an offer and an invoice. ArtFond has a private selection for a collector too (on the Unlimited plan), but no tracking of offers behind it.
If you recognised yourself, Artlogic is worth its money. If not, you'll be paying for a gallery system and using a tenth of it.
Who ArtFond is for
- You run your practice yourself and want the site, the shop, and the documents to be one whole, with nothing to administer.
- You need documents for applications: portfolio PDF, CV, artist statement, assembled from the catalogue rather than from scratch every time. And a board of open calls, where an application starts.
- You need certificates for sold artworks with a QR code they can be checked by.
- You need several languages at no extra cost: seven languages from one catalogue, where Artlogic charges from £241.
- Price. £95 a month against €15 on annual billing.
Frequently asked questions
Can I move my artworks from Artlogic to ArtFond? Give us a link to your site: ArtFond builds a draft from the artworks on it, and you look at it before deciding anything. There's no dedicated adapter for Artlogic, so check the titles and descriptions after the build.
Does ArtFond keep provenance records? Yes: an artwork passport with provenance and exhibitions, status, and availability. Without a deal pipeline or reports for a team.
Can I keep both? Yes. Some people keep the inventory and gallery sales in Artlogic, and the public site, certificates, and applications in ArtFond.
Will switching help me sell more? A clear artwork page with a price, a Buy button, and a convenient way to pay raise the likelihood of a sale, but don't guarantee it. ArtFond has them from the start; in Artlogic, a cart with checkout is added separately, on request. No site brings buyers on its own: it receives the people who are already interested in your work.
