Press

This is where you collect mentions of yourself: articles, interviews, reviews, appearances in round-ups. Each mention has a headline, a link to the material, a date and a few sentences from you about what it was. You can add an image — usually the article's cover or a shot from it.

Mentions are ordered by dragging, and the order you set is the order on the
site. If you would rather not show one for now, you do not have to delete
it: unpublish it and it stays with you while disappearing from the site.

On the site the press is its own section, and it does not reach the menu on
its own: the "Press" item is added in the header settings. If you have added
mentions and cannot see them on the site, that is almost always why.

Why keep this at all. A curator, a gallerist or a journalist opening your
site is looking for traces that other people have already written about your
work. This is not vanity: a link to someone else's material is the one thing
you cannot write about yourself, which is why it carries more weight than
any text of your own. Gathered in one place, mentions also save you during
submissions — a residency or grant application nearly always asks for them
as a list, and that list otherwise gets rebuilt from memory every time.

On the Unlimited plan you do not have to hunt for mentions by hand: the
system searches for your name in the press itself, across several spellings,
filters out directories, listings and namesakes, and adds what it finds as
drafts. Publishing or removing them is yours to decide; it publishes nothing
on its own.
